Body Treatments and Post Surgery Therapy

  • Lymphatic Drainage

Also referred to as manual lymphatic drainage relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. The body's lymphatic system is the filter for all of the waste products and mutant cells that leave the bloodstream. The pressure applied is superficial (light) and directed towards the lymph nodes to drain excess fluid from your body. When waste products are released from your body, you can begin to feel healthier, more energetic, and your immune system will improve as your body renews itself. This type of body treatment is specialized for each client as a series of treatments depending on your specific needs ands condition.

  • Radio Frequency Therapy

Radiofrequency Therapy (RFT) is a non-invasive skin tightening and cellulite removal procedure. This treatment delivers intense heat to tissues deeper than the epidermis by using high-frequency electrical currents that penetrate the superficial layers of the skin without heating them. You’ll feel a warm sensation and gentle vibration but RF is only heating selected tissues, such as the dermis, the middle skin layer where collagen-producing cells are located, and hypodermis, deepest skin layer where big collagen structures and fat tissue are located. The essence of a RFT is to provide a deep, focused action where it matters without causing irritation, redness or burns. The skin may be visibly strained after the procedure as the result of increased blood circulation but returns to normal after one or two days. After every treatment session, you will see a noticeable change in your skin's appearance. With the completion of the full treatment course you will enjoy long lasting body contouring and tightening.

  • Ultrasonic Cavitation

Ultrasonic cavitation uses ultrasound technology to break down fat cells below the skin. This procedure involves applying high pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibrations to make fat cells break down into a liquid form. These waves form bubbles around fat deposits under the skin. The bubbles then burst, breaking the fat deposits into the interstitial and the lymphatic systems where they are drained. The fat deposits are changed into glycerol which is reused by the body and free fatty acids which travels to the liver and are excreted as waste. Ultrasonic cavitation works best on parts with localized fat. Such areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, hips, and upper arms. This procedure cannot be performed on body parts like the head, neck, and other bony areas of the body. Ultrasonic Cavitation is efective for reducing cellulite and diposing fat where exercise alone can’t achieve it. However, the procedure by itself is not a weight loss solution. Combinaiton of a healthy diet, excercise and ultrasonic cavitation will always give you the best results.

  • Wood Therapy

Wood therapy is a vigorous body treatment technique that uses wooden, handheld tools, such as rolling pins and vacuum-suction cups. Wood therapy originated in Asia while very popluar in South America. This procedure is an efficient way of contouring the body without harming the skin or tissue. It helps fight cellulte leaving your body looking silky and smooth. This therapy can tone, reduce, mold and eliminate stored fat in different parts of your body. However, to achieve noticeable results this procedure must be repetitive requiring to have treatments performed several times a week over a 2-4 month time frame. Often these sessions will combine multiple sculpting techniques and could last 1 hour or longer depending on your tolerance level. Discussing your treatment plan with our office is always the first task when starting a body treatment plan for you.

  • Body Countouring

Lipo therapy reactivates the fat release process known as lipolysis (the burning of fat in the fat cell) to get rid of fat deposits and imperfections in the skin through the use of a manual stimulation. Lipo body treatments can firm the skin, smooth cellulite and slim down fat cells or deposits through the use of dynamic moves in three different ways: rolling in to slim, rolling out to firm and a kneading motion to resculpt and smooth. The treatment also is great if you have lost a lot of weight and you have loose or hanging skin.

  • Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine which uses suctions cups to create the feeling of a deep-tissue treatment. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. During a cupping treatment, your practitioner will place cups on your skin. You’ll feel a sucking sensation and pressure as the cups are suctioned. Heat and suction is used to place the cups. Depending on the type of cupping, your practitioner may leave you to rest for a few minutes before returning to remove the cups. Your skin may turn red and show light bruising after your session but any discoloration or marks from cupping usually go away within 7 days of the session. Cupping isn’t recommended if you use blood thining medication. As always consult your physican before any specialized body treatment.
